Terms of Service

Effective Date: 29 July 2026

Welcome

Thank you for considering working with me.

Whether you are seeking Personal Integration, executive mentorship, professional integration, leadership development or education, my intention is to provide a safe, respectful and professionally facilitated environment where meaningful insight, self-understanding and lasting integration can occur.

The work we undertake together is founded on personal responsibility, curiosity, compassion and mutual respect. It recognises that genuine change is rarely achieved through quick solutions, but through developing greater awareness of ourselves, our relationships and the patterns that shape our lives.

These Terms of Service are intended to create clarity about the nature of our professional relationship, explain what you can expect from working with me, outline our respective responsibilities, and protect both you and me throughout our engagement.

By booking or participating in any service provided by Boris Walter, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

1. Nature of My Services

My work is intentionally integrative.

It sits at the intersection of psychotherapy, counselling, hypnosis, consulting, education, leadership development, philosophy and coaching. Rather than relying upon a single discipline or therapeutic model, I draw from a range of evidence-informed, experiential and reflective approaches according to the needs of the individual, organisation or context.

Depending on the nature of the engagement, services may include:

  • Personal Integration sessions;

  • Executive and Founder Mentorship;

  • Professional Integration services;

  • organisational consulting;

  • leadership development;

  • psycho-spiritual education;

  • coaching;

  • hypnotic and reflective processes where appropriate;

  • workshops;

  • keynote presentations;

  • educational programs; and

  • other related professional services.

The purpose of these services is to support greater self-understanding, psychological integration, leadership capacity, relational awareness, meaningful decision-making and personal or organisational development.

No single modality is presented as a complete solution, and each engagement is adapted to the individual circumstances of the client.

2. The Nature of Personal Integration

Personal Integration is the overarching methodology that informs much of my work.

Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction or problem solving, Personal Integration seeks to help individuals better understand themselves, recognise unconscious patterns, reconcile conflicting aspects of experience and develop greater psychological, emotional and relational maturity.

Our work together may explore thinking, behaviour, identity, relationships, leadership, meaning, values, belief systems and personal history.

Different processes—including reflective dialogue, psychological exploration, educational frameworks, consulting conversations and hypnotic processes—may be used where appropriate.

The emphasis is not on creating dependence upon a practitioner, but on supporting your own capacity for awareness, responsibility and integration.

3. Professional Relationship

Our relationship is a professional one based upon mutual respect, honesty and informed consent.

Although aspects of our work may draw upon psychotherapy, counselling and hypnosis, my services extend beyond traditional therapeutic practice and may also include education, strategic consultation, leadership mentoring, coaching and reflective facilitation.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, participation in my services should not be interpreted as establishing ongoing psychiatric care, medical treatment or a comprehensive clinical therapeutic relationship.

Participation is entirely voluntary.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and behaviour throughout and following our work together.

4. What You Can Expect From Me

As your facilitator, I will endeavour to provide services that are:

  • respectful;

  • compassionate;

  • professionally conducted;

  • confidential within legal limits;

  • intellectually honest;

  • psychologically informed; and

  • appropriate to the agreed scope of our work.

I will encourage thoughtful reflection, challenge where appropriate, and seek to create an environment in which genuine insight can emerge.

5. Client Responsibility

The effectiveness of this work depends upon your willingness to participate openly and responsibly.

By engaging my services you acknowledge that:

  • meaningful change cannot be imposed by another person;

  • lasting insight develops through reflection, honesty and personal responsibility;

  • no facilitator can make decisions on your behalf;

  • integration is an ongoing process rather than a single event;

  • you remain responsible for the decisions you make before, during and after our work together.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate and relevant information;

  • advise me of any significant medical or psychological circumstances that may affect participation;

  • communicate respectfully;

  • seek additional professional support where appropriate; and

  • take responsibility for implementing any insights gained through our work.

6. Scope of Practice

My services are educational, developmental, consultative and reflective in nature.

While they may incorporate psychological concepts, counselling skills and hypnotic processes, they are not intended to replace appropriate medical, psychiatric or psychological care where such care is required.

Accordingly, my services should not be relied upon as a substitute for:

  • medical diagnosis or treatment;

  • psychiatric care;

  • emergency mental health services;

  • legal advice;

  • financial advice; or

  • other regulated professional services.

Where I believe another professional may be better placed to support you, I may recommend referral to an appropriately qualified practitioner.

7. Mental Health and Safety

Your wellbeing is important.

If you are experiencing significant psychological distress, suicidal thoughts, psychosis, medical emergencies or any situation involving an immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, you should seek assistance from emergency services or an appropriately qualified healthcare professional without delay.

My services are not designed to provide crisis intervention or emergency mental health care.

Participation in any session remains subject to my assessment that the engagement is appropriate and safe for both parties.

8. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Every individual, organisation and circumstance is different.

For this reason, I cannot guarantee any particular personal, psychological, relational, professional or financial outcome arising from participation in my services.

Any examples, case studies, testimonials or previous client experiences are provided for illustrative purposes only and should not be interpreted as promises or guarantees of future results.

The value of our work depends upon many factors beyond my control, including your own circumstances, choices and ongoing commitment to personal integration.

9. Confidentiality

Trust is fundamental to meaningful personal and professional work.

Information shared during sessions will be treated respectfully and confidentially wherever possible.

However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where disclosure is required by law, including circumstances involving:

  • serious and imminent risk of harm;

  • mandatory reporting obligations;

  • court orders; or

  • other legal requirements.

Further information regarding confidentiality is contained within the Confidentiality Policy.

10. Privacy

Personal information is collected solely for purposes reasonably connected with providing professional services.

This may include contact details, intake forms, correspondence, payment information, booking records and professional notes.

Information will be managed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy legislation.

11. Communication

Outside scheduled appointments, communication may occur through agreed methods such as email, SMS or other platforms.

Unless specifically included within the scope of your engagement, communication between sessions does not constitute ongoing therapeutic support, counselling or crisis assistance.

While every effort will be made to respond within a reasonable timeframe, response times cannot be guaranteed.

12. Fees, Bookings and Cancellations

Current fees, booking procedures and cancellation terms are published on the Boris Walter website and may be updated from time to time.

By making a booking you agree to those policies in addition to these Terms of Service.

13. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property developed by Boris Walter remains his exclusive property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal Integration methodology;

  • CiC Mental Ethos;

  • Professional Integration frameworks;

  • teaching materials;

  • diagrams;

  • written resources;

  • recordings;

  • educational models; and

  • proprietary frameworks.

These materials are provided for your personal or organisational use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, adapted or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

14. Online Services

Where services are delivered online, you are responsible for ensuring access to suitable technology, a stable internet connection and a private environment appropriate for confidential discussion.

Where technical difficulties significantly affect a session, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the remaining time.

15. Professional Boundaries

Maintaining clear professional boundaries supports the safety and effectiveness of our work.

Respectful communication is expected at all times.

Harassment, abusive behaviour, discrimination, manipulation, intimidation or behaviour that compromises the integrity of the professional relationship will not be accepted.

Where appropriate, I reserve the right to suspend or discontinue services.

16. Right to Decline or Conclude Services

I reserve the right to decline, postpone or conclude services where I reasonably believe that:

  • the requested services fall outside my scope of practice;

  • continuation is unlikely to be beneficial;

  • safety concerns arise;

  • professional boundaries have been compromised;

  • conflicts of interest exist; or

  • fees remain unpaid.

Where appropriate, alternative sources of support may be suggested.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, participation in my services is undertaken voluntarily.

You acknowledge that responsibility for personal, professional and organisational decisions remains your own.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia.

19. Acceptance

By booking, purchasing or participating in my services you acknowledge that:

  • you have read and understood these Terms of Service;

  • you have had the opportunity to ask questions before participating;

  • you understand the nature and scope of the services being provided;

  • you voluntarily consent to participate; and

  • you agree that these Terms form part of our professional agreement.
